Job Description:
Cornerstone Church, located in San Francisco, California, is looking for a Pastor of Spiritual Formation. This role would involve seeing and expanding community life through small group and discipleship ministries at two campuses in-person and an online campus. The Pastor of Spiritual Formation will work with the team to encourage small group participation and lead others through discipleship and discipline others.
What you’ll be doing:
Connecting with and encouraging existing groups
Establishing training for both existing group and new group leaders
Developing ways of encouraging the church at large to join groups and get involved
Creating, implementing, and leading a new small groups strategy/ministry/plan
Helping build the coaching structure to disciple and equip lay leaders.
What you need to have:
A thriving relationship with Jesus
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, with the ability to recruit and equip lay leaders
Formal training or similar experience
Ability to take coach, problem-solve, and catalyze positive change
Passion for seeing life change through discipleship and small groups
