Full Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, you will serve as the organization’s Senior Director of Development and Grants, and will contribute your substantial experience raising funds from individual donors and foundations, experience with grants, ability to create and execute a strategic fundraising plan, ability to cultivate, and maintain relationships with donors and foundations, team leadership skills, and ability to analyze donor data and recognize fundraising opportunities. As an experienced fundraiser, you will set the groundwork for growing Catholic Charities revenue portfolio to support the agency's strategic vision. You are a strong relationship builder who understands what inspires giving. You have a genuine passion and commitment to fundraising for services that positively impact the lives of local young people, families, and seniors. As a member of the senior management team, you will work closely with the CEO, other leaders and partners, and the Board Development Committee.
- CFRE highly desired
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, securing gifts of four- to six- figures & planned giving
- Experience in building and implementing fundraising strategies
- Knowledge and ability to create work plans for a Development Team as well as manage and mentor staff
- Results-oriented and creative, solution-focused with an ability to meet fundraising goals
- Metrics-driven, flexible and open to trying various strategies, using data to inform strategic direction and decision making
- Able to see the big picture and plan long-term, but also tactical, resilient and with a positive mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaborative in working cross-functionally and with Senior Leaders and a Board of Directors to accomplish tasks and initiatives
- Tech-savvy and competent in using a fundraising database, communications applications and related tools (Raiser’s Edge, a plus)
- Commitment to organization’s mission, vision, and value, with an understanding of diverse populations
