This unique event provides instrumental support in continuing the mission of the Field House Museum, helping us to create dynamic programs and exhibitions, along with maintaining the integrity of the National Landmark Field family home.

Sign up for our friendly croquet tournament! Guests can bring their own blanket and chairs or reserve a seat under the pavilion or one of our tents. Ticket options include:

TOURNAMENT TEAM – $100

Tournament team tickets include admission for a team of two along with a charcuterie basket.

HONORARY CHAIR – $250

Honorary Chair tickets include the following: Recognition on: invite, event program, website, and social media, 2 VIP Brunch Tickets in the Stupp Center at 11:00 am, Tournament admission for 1 team of two, Reserved seating in the pavilion, Charcuterie basket for two.

RESERVED SEATING – $10

Reserved Seating tickets allow access to reserved seating in the pavilion or under one of our tents.

The VIP Brunch will begin at 11:00 am in the Stupp Center. Tournament check-in will open at 12:00 pm at the Sons of Rest Pavillion. All teams must be present for the tournament rules at 12:45, and the first round will begin at 1:00 pm!

The game of croquet was first referenced in print in London in 1856 but is believed to have originated in the Middle Ages. Rules include hitting a wooden ball with a mallet through a hoop or “wicket.” Eugene Field was undoubtedly familiar with the game (and its reputation for being intensely competitive) as he mentions croquet in The Tribune Primer:
