JOB DESCRIPTION: Associate Pastor: The associate pastor's primary responsibilities will be to lead worship in a thoroughly blended service and grow the music ministry at Tower Grove. This position will also oversee all discipleship initiatives of the church, including small groups, and engage in activities that help members grow and mature in their faith. This person will also be responsible for all guest services, outreach, and other activities that ensure everyone has an excellent impression of Tower Grove Church. This person is directly accountable to the Senior Pastor. The candidate should possess an adaptable skill set and leadership capabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WORSHIP
- Continue to grow and mature in Christ as a godly person of integrity. Strong sense of calling and identity in Christ. Demonstrated leadership in being able to disciple those in their sphere of influence.
- Provide leadership, vision, and passion for Tower Grove in the area of music worship ministries that align with our church's overall vision, purpose, and mission. Lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities which align with the mission and vision at Tower Grove Church.
- Coordinate with the Senior Pastor to create a well-planned and engaging Sunday morning worship service. This includes leading the Sunday worship service, recruiting and developing a worship team, and scheduling vocalists. Responsibilities include preparing for and coaching rehearsals and consulting with the Senior Pastor to coordinate the music for the Sunday service.
- Proficiency in leading worship with strong vocal ability. The capability of teaching with a guitar and keyboard is a plus but not a requirement. AThe abilityto lead with piano accompaniment is necessary.
- Attend a weekly staff meeting with the Senior Pastor, and participate in the planning and implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the ch,urch as well as developing goals and vision for ministries within the church.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and leading worship for special events outside Sunday worship services.
- When available, perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
- Either currently is a member of, or willing and qualified to join the membership of Tower Grove Church upon hiring in fulcompletereement of our statement of faith

- Develop inroads into the Shaw Neighborhood
- Develop Tower Grove’s discipleship ministry as the primary avenue for spiritual growth
- Develop benchmarks for the spiritual growth of all groups
- Recruit, train, and develop leaders to create additional groups
- Recommend curriculum for groups
- Ensure sound doctrine is consistent and taught within all groups
- Teach weekly a discipleship class
- Oversee attendance records
- Work with the children’s, y,outh and adult ministry to create a cohesive discipleship plan
- Work closely with our Burmese and Congolese Congregations in creating a continued strategic alignment
SALARY:
$30,000 with the option of additional funds raised the salary
