Our church... (http://www.thecrossing.church/) is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Children's Ministry Coordinator...is a part-time position responsible for the overall administration of KidsCrossing at Fenton. In addition to managing the many administrative details involved in running Fenton KidsCrossing, this person will need to build, equip, manage, and lead volunteer teams. The Fenton Admin will need to have weekday office hours in order to prepare for the weekend as well as being present for services on the weekend. This person will also contribute on occasion to multi-site events or activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the Fenton KidsCrossing ministry schedules and calendar

Oversee and maintain the entire process for scheduling events for Kids Fenton through the calendaring process and Service U
Maintain team member Google document schedule template; keep updated two months in advance
Support and attend special events at Fenton as well as church wide special events including but not limited to: Child Dedication Classes, Baptism Classes, Baptism, Team Member Appreciation events, Hanging of the Greens (Christmas), Kids Connectors, all other KidsCrossing events at Fenton

Provide leadership and oversight to assigned KidsCrossing volunteer teams

Schedule and oversee the teams that are your responsibility
Recruit and train new volunteers to those teams
Identify, train and empower Coach leaders for each service hour
Oversee part of Team Time topics
Be observant of safety issues regarding KidsCrossing

Oversee Onboarding Process

Coordinate with Children's Pastor/Kids Staff in the volunteer onboarding process
Communicate with onboarding team members throughout the process until onboarding is completed
Send initial welcome letter, Addendum and information and background checks
Schedule interviews and orientations with interested team members
Assist with new team members orientations
Assist with team members trainings
Place new volunteers in their serving groups
Maintain Trello board for onboarding new team members, classes and events

Manage all Fenton KidsCrossing purchasing and expenses

Purchase materials and supplies that are specific to the Fenton campus
Complete, code and track reimbursement requests for Fenton KidsCrossing volunteers and KidsCrossing staff members
Review and code invoices for payment on the department credit card bill
Regularly review budget with Children's Pastor and update staff monthly

Data Entry

Maintain and update the team members database in Rock
Add new families into the Rock database
Promote kids to their new grade in Rock at the appropriate time
Create lists and reports using database information

Oversee Admin tasks

Maintain weekly attendance reports
Create and send post cards to all new kids
Coordinate mailings to parents and team members
Oversee, lead, recruit and empower weekday Prep Team
Attend KidsCrossing weekly and monthly staff meetings and Staff Admin team meetings
Assist with team member appreciation- cards, events etc.
Stock registration supplies
Maintain the Kids Welcome Desk supplies and equipment

WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience working in children's ministry, as staff or volunteer

Intermediate level PC operation skills, including word processing and spreadsheet ability. Standard software programs utilized: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, ProPresenter, Trello, Doodle, Survey Monkey
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
Team player and team builder

Strong interpersonal skills

Love for God and passion for children

Great work ethic - timely and reliable

Trustworthiness - able to handle sensitive material with good judgment and confidentiality
Aptitude for database systems

Previous experience working in a church
