Church Administrator
The Church Administrator is a leadership role dedicated to the support of the St. Lucas Congregation and Church Properties. Includes maintenance and oversight of financial operations, church administrative activities, property and facilities management. This leadership role serves as the front line of church operations and leads a team in the support of pastors, staff and congregants. This role reports to the Sr. Minister. This is a Part Time (25-35 hours) hourly position.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise office and maintenance team in support of ministerial and administrative functions
  • Administer and document all financial operations for St. Lucas UCC, St. Lucas Cemetery and St. Lucas Perpetual Endowment. Including: AP, AR, payroll, banking and bookkeeping records
  • Act as purchasing agent with oversight for bids and contracts
  • Oversee facilities management and lease arrangements for St. Lucas properties
  • Maintain all church records
  • Respond to the needs of church members and committees
  • Partner with church committees, members and staff on special projects and events as needed

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years administration and supervisory experience
  • 5 years of related accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in working with accounting and bookkeeping software
  • General knowledge of facilities management
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience in ACS Church Software highly preferred
  • Experience working in a church environment and an understanding of the uniqueness of that environment preferred

Compensation and Benefits
Part Time role (25-35 hours) with potential for flexible schedule. Compensation commensurate with experience and background.
