Job Summary

The Church Administrator serves to administratively support the staff and ministries of The Journey West County. This individual requires excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a diligent self-starter who is able to multitask, prioritize, and self-direct.

Fulfills the duties required of The Journey members as outlined in the membership covenant
Fulfills the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in Scripture
Familiarity and/or willingness to become proficient with frequently used technology, including PCO, Asana, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities

Communication:
Greet visitors, answer the telephone, screen and direct calls, and take and relay messages
Collaborate with The Journey Collective to execute West County promotions and to secure all deliverable needs for services and events
Manage & cultivate church social media audience & content, including posting event information to website and app platforms
Assist with monthly newsletter and other written communications
Manage event sign ups (baptism, equip classes, membership classes, etc)
Respond to or re-assign and track communication inquiries via infoWC@thejourney.org in a timely and hospitable manner
Respond to or re-assign and track communication inquiries via infohr@thejourney.org in a timely and hospitable manner
Process church mail
Respond to weekly connect cards and enter into workflow

Administration:
Administrate, manage and assist with sign-up processes, content management and updating member contact information for initiatives, events and groups.
Maintain inventory lists and oversee the organizing and ordering of supplies for West County as needed
Oversee the process of requests for building keys and purchasing cards
Receive deliveries and ensure common spaces are clean and welcoming
Assist the Executive Director with the church calendar and West County facility spaces for classes, events, weddings, etc.
Make copies, create documents/spreadsheets for reporting/tracking data, organize and file documents, and take meeting minutes/notes
Assist with special event planning/execution
Collect prayer requests and distribute to appropriate people
Process reconciliations, reimbursements, invoices and weekly offering
All other duties as assigned

Status: Part-time, hourly (non-exempt)
Schedule/Hours: 20 hrs/week, some Sundays, occasional evening and special events
Benefits: Cell phone reimbursement, accrued PTO, 403b
Reports to: West County Executive Director
