Full Time Position: 36 hours per week

Salary: $40-45,000

Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Pastor, the Communications Technology Coordinator will be responsible for the strategic implementation of internal and external communication as well as coordination of the multimedia and technology needs to support the mission and vision of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal and external communications for the church to maintain connections with church members as well as provide outreach to the community
  • Post services, events, and church information on multiple platforms
  • Manage the church website
  • Develop and manage a St. Paul’s App, including marketing and training members on its usage
  • Connect with the media (TV, Newspaper, etc.) to promote church events and activities
  • Develop and manage the church’s Facebook account and other social media platforms
  • Promote Treehouse (childcare facility), adhering to privacy guidelines
  • Develop, record, and edit Podcasts of sermons, music, and educational programs
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to enhance and manage the technology needs of a vibrant and growing church
  • Implement innovative technology practices to keep the church relevant and tapped into the spiritual and social needs of the congregation as well as the broader community
  • Improve and manage the church’s online presence
  • Manage and coordinate all technology for Sunday morning services, including recruiting, training, and managing needed volunteers to:
  • Manage in-house media
  • Operate the sound board
  • Record the service
  • Run the projector
  • Edit and post services and select events to social media outlets
  • Support the technical needs of the music program, as needed
  • Record and market events and activities that promote the work and fellowship of the church
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of video editing software, Premium Pro
  • Knowledge of frontline multimedia software; e.g., Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expertise in audio and sound; Possess understanding of sound equalizing and working sound boards; Ability to quickly troubleshoot and problem solve multimedia issues as they arise
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in proofreading and editing
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Acceptance of Christian values and beliefs

Qualifications:

College or technical degree supplemented with 1-3 year’s relevant work or internship experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
