Purpose

The Creative Programming Department will manage all aspects of Programming, which includes the following teams: Events, Production/Tech, & Service Planning. This would include direct creative design in collaboration with the Senior Pastor and team for global campus implemenetation.

 


This position requires its primary duty of performing work that requires invention, imagination, originality or talent in a recognized field of artistic or creative endeavor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervisory Related:

  • Approve timecards for all direct reports and anyone under the Programming Dept.
  • Conduct Annual Reviews for team.
  • Approve PTO requests.
  • Direct oversight of Production Team Lead, Events Team, and Services Team.

 

 

Production Related: Manage all Production operations required to support and facilitate Faith Church services and events, including:

  • Providing daily direction Production staff Centrally and at each Campus
  • Upholding department policies regarding systems, training methods, workflow, etc.
  • Ensuring proper equipment maintenance and management
  • Coordinating interdepartmental projects
  • Engaging in long-term department planning
  • Oversight and presentation of technical budget
  • Provide clear written and verbal direction to Production staff under supervision in regards to assignments, job expectations, and vision, while freely delegating tasks and projects
  • Oversee and manage all services and events in the main auditorium
  • Serve as primary department liaison with Worship, Design, and Video in relation to service planning and execution
  • Host and attend planning meetings as needed for services and events that originate in the Main Auditorium
  • Oversee creation of annual Production budget
  • Oversee and approve Broadcast paperwork, including invoices, Purchase Requests, and Check Requests
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of all technical production equipment
  • Obtain equipment quotes and facilitate purchases and rentals with vendors as needed
  • Serve as Live Service Producer for services and events as needed.

 

 

Service Programming Related:

  • Oversee and maintain all Services and Templates in PCO
  • Send out weekly service agendas to all Staff and Dream Teams
  • Oversee planning of all service elements
  • Schedule and communicate with Worship, Video and Creative teams about special service elements
  • Series Planning
  • Work alongside Senior Pastors to support the Weekend Content
  • Gather facts, jokes, statistics, media, videos, etc to help support weekend sermon
  • Send Senior Pastor weekly Google Doc of aggregated support
  • Create weekly travel times for services
  • Serve on cross functional team for branding and marketing around Tier 1 special events, Christmas, Easter, Women’s Conference
  • Act as Christmas, Easter and Women’s Conference Project Manager
  • Gather and submit creative briefs for Tier 1 Events to Cross Functional Team of Leaders
  • Research other churches like Faith Church for ideas, send to the Creative Staff members to help inspire them
  • Oversee Senior Pastor’s preaching and content calendar
  • Help aid Marketing Team in weekend content marketing (Always telling the church what comes net..)
  • Own creation and implementation of all Creative Elements
  • Oversee copyright approval and licensing for Broadcasted creative moments
  • Oversee and Manage Calendar Creative Elements (Ex: Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Black History Month, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Etc)

 

 

Events Related:

  • Oversee Annual Calendar alongside Event Team Leader
  • Oversee 3D Event Process
    • Help communicate clear vision from Senior Pastors to Event Staff on an Event by Event basis
    • Help shape vision around Tier 1 and Tier 2 Event Budgets, propose in the Discover phase of the Event
    • Communicate vision and expectations of Events Department to Events Staff Team
  • Convene Cross Functional Team Mtgs around specific events and initiatives
  • Attend meetings with Events Department to help shape vision and direction for Tier 1 Events
  • Partner with the Events Team to establish goals and measurable for the Department, Events Dream teams
  • Lead and manage the Events Lead in the planning, execution and implementation of assigned responsibilities
  • Ensure Events Staff Team is successfully equipped and resourced to function in each area of responsibility
  • Ensure constant evaluation of Events occurs to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Develop and manage the budget for the Events Department
  • Ensure that the culture of excellence is maintained within the Events Staff Team, Events Dream Team and at each Event
  • Provide direction and ensure leadership development is occurring within the Events Staff Team and Dream Team
  • Provide “win” opportunities for Events Staff Team
  • Serve, communicate with and support other departments in Events related areas
  • Oversee Management of onsite Facility Rentals including private parties, weddings and concert style Facility Rentals
  • Facilitate Meetings
  • Attend and help facilitate the WOCO Core Team Meeting
  • Work closely with Events Team Lead to coordinate the annual Women’s Conference
  • Work closely with Senior Pastors to establish vision for look, feel and budget for major events

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment (routinely uses standard office equipment)

 

Physical Demands

  • Office time is mostly a sedentary role (stationary at desk and working on a computer); during services and events, must have high energy for multiple hour segments.
  • Elements of this position require moving, lifting, and pushing heavy items.
  • Assist with setup or operation of production equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to drive own vehicle or a Faith Church vehicle.

 

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will be the same every week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities). These hours can/will fluctuate.

 

Sunday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

Monday: 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Tuesday: 9:00AM – 5:00PM (rotation week 11:00AM – 9:00PM)

Wednesday: 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Thursday: 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Friday: Off

Saturday: Off (rotation week 3:00pm – 7:00pm)

 

 

Travel
Campus to campus local travel and occasional overnight trips will be expected for this position.

 

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Level of experience: Intermediate (practical application)
  • Basic understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and concepts
  • Profound and acknowledged understanding of Faith Church culture
  • Supervisory Experience
