Summary

The Dean of the Russell School of Ministry serves the mission of Central Christian College of the Bible by providing oversight and direction of all aspects of graduate program delivery, maintenance, evaluation, and continued development; graduate faculty recruiting, supervision, and development; and department administration.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of graduate academic programming, policies, and students.
  • Contribute to the enrollment and marketing team operational planning to establish recruiting goals, create promotional materials, and support recruiting efforts.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate graduate instructors, Supervised Ministry Experience coaches, and administrative staff.
  • Prepare annual department strategic plans, reports, and budget.
  • Teach an assigned number of graduate courses per academic year.
  • Coordinate with and assist the VP of Academics.

Knowledge

  • a) Biblical, ministerial, or leadership content area expert.
  • b) Higher education leadership and management.
  • c) Principles of adult learning theory.
  • d) Accreditation standards for quality graduate academic programming.

Skills

  • a) Written and verbal communication.
  • b) Develop and maintain departmental budget.
  • c) Use of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canvas (LMS), student information systems.
  • d) Policy development.

Abilities

  • Commitment to the mission and vision of the college.
  • Commitment to grow in biblical knowledge, Christian faith, and character.
  • Personnel management.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Recruiting and leading graduate faculty, adjuncts, and staff.
  • Curriculum development.

Supervision

  • Graduate instructors and staff.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • An earned accredited terminal degree (or an appropriate professional degree) in one of the following areas is preferred: Biblical/Theological,Ministry, Leadership.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Remote work is possible (preferred from the Moberly, St. Louis, Cincinnati, or mid-Missouri regions). Must be present on location during graduate intensive weeks.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • St. Louis, MO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
