JOB DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Director provides direct supervision and coordinating activities of workers engaged in building and grounds keeping activities. This position will also oversee security. • Personal social media posts in regards to Church activity must be aligned exclusively with Faith Church Building & Grounds:
• Design and build/construct stage props (environmental & stages)
• Follow and create work plans & checklist to accomplish the objectives and goals for the Facilities maintenance and cleaning dept. needs, delegating to the Facilities and cleaning teams.
• Responsibilities include the routine maintenance of all buildings, grounds, church owned vehicles, all related equipment, systems, and supplies
• Lead & hands-on construction initiatives
• Build a volunteer team culture that builds value and worth
• Oversee all regular inspections, certifications, and records required by State and Local Governments, including OSHA, and verify are maintained and up-to-date
• Receives and tracks work orders
• Maintains records related to maintenance, preventative maintenance, and special projects
• Special Events - Responsible to assist in event site setup and tear down and other essential functions as directed
• Run and schedule all maintenance for Faith Academy.
• Ability to understand and keep current: Facility Maintenance Logs, Checklist & Daily work log.
• 24 hour availability for snow removal Security:
• Schedule police officers for each location for services and special events
• Build and maintain in house volunteer security team for services and special events
• Schedule and provide quarterly training services
• Have knowledge of safety and security Experience
• Must have a growing heart for Christ and the Church.
• Able to understand oral and written instructions and follow same as required
• Ability to read and correctly interpret SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
• Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, and the general public
• Enjoys a fast paced environment
• Must have the ability to read and correctly interpret blue prints. Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and includes all aspects of the building and grounds maintenance. Physical Demands Ability to lift 80-100 lbs when necessary.
• Move quickly and up to a minimum of 10 miles a day
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Ability to work outside for extended amount of time in all seasons for landscaping, construction, and snow removal
• Mental awareness for the safety of yourself and the team around you Position Type and Expected Hours of Work The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will rotate every other week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities). These hours can/will fluctuate. Working Saturday: Travel Campus to campus local travel will be expected for this position. Required Education and Experience
• Level of experience: Advanced (applied theory)
• Working knowledge of 2 or more of the following systems: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, General Construction, and Irrigation Systems Preferred Education and Experience
