ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate existing Care Ministries such as (but not limited to): Grief Share, Divorce Care, Financial Peace, Recovery at The Crossing, Embrace Grace, ICU, pre-marital and marriage etc.
Have a thorough understanding of the goals and strategies of each ministry.
Work with existing ministry leads/pastors to set measurable objectives and evaluate avenues for improvement including synergies with other ministries
Oversee calendar and execution of these ministries.
Re-evaluate and improve the existing system for recording Care Ministry conversations to better provide coordinated, meaningful care.
Assist campus pastor with all aspects of pastoral care, including but not limited to funerals, hospital visitations, and crises situations.
Create curriculum and implement training opportunities for staff and key volunteers who will be leading care conversations to include strategies for coaching including emotional health basics
Explore opportunities attract new participants and increase the number and quality of care conversations
Manage the counseling referral process
Maintain relationships with current counselors in order to support pastoral team and other leaders by giving recommendations
Oversee the screening process
Explore additional support options such as coaches, treatment centers etc.
Be current on best practices for Care Ministries by maintaining involvement with other churches and organizations, attending conferences when meaningful
Work closely with Spiritual Oversight Team (SOT) and Leadership Team (LT)
Assist with teaching responsibilities in various environments (Announcements, Recovery, classes).
Attend Weekend Services and provide pastoral support (Bullpen conversations. Announcements) for Saturday night and Sunday morning services.
Assist with pastoral responsibilities in various environments, including Grief Share, Divorce Care, ICU and other care classes.
Assist campus pastor with Baptism Q&A's. interviews, and reading apps.
Participate in all major Fenton events as designated by Campus Pastor
Participate in other functions as assigned by Lead Pastor, SOT and LT

Passion for Christ and for the work of the ministry at The Crossing
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) and/or 3-5 years related experience and/or training
Excellent people and communication skills, including the following:
Talking with and to others and communicating information effectively

Communicating effectively in writing, including the proper use of the English language
Passionately cast clear vision about The Crossing with accurate detail
Biblical awareness and continued education
Time management and ability to lead/manage other staff and their schedules
