About River City Church:
- We are a growing church located in St. Charles, MO with 180-200 members and regular attenders.
- We were planted in 2017 and became a local congregation in 2020.
- We currently have a staff of 5 people.
Hours/Pay:
- This is a part time job that will require 15-20 hours per week which can be mostly remote.
- The pay will be commensurate with skills and experience and will start at $25,000.
- The Director of Worship reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as you seek to bring glory to God and good to others.
- Plan all worship services alongside relevant staff in a meaningful, cohesive way that is purposeful from beginning to end. Select songs prayerfully and thoughtfully with attention to concept, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness.
- Prepare all materials needed for each service, including charts, rehearsal tracks, lyrics, etc.
- Be responsible for all licensing and other related issues involving the music.
- Lead all musicians through rehearsals, services, and the overall music ministry, including investing in them as individuals and believers in Christ.
- Oversee sound and media teams, with attention to equipment and needs for each service.
- Schedule volunteers for sound, media, band, vocals, liturgy, set-up. Manage Planning Center.
- Plan, prepare, and rehearse the children for their participation in special services.
- Lead the set-up and tear down teams on Sunday mornings.
- Create lyrical and sermon slides for Sunday mornings (ProPresenter)
- Attend occasional staff meetings but can otherwise be remote if preferred.
People/Volunteer Development:
- Identify and develop a worship team of vocalists and instrumentals who will provide music for
- Sunday worship services and special occasions as needed.
- Develop a technical team that supports worship through audio and visual means.
