Purpose

The Global Worship Pastor oversees worship across all campuses and must be a visionary who is creative in leading people to God. This role communicates direction in a way that inspires those around him/her to join in the pursuit of that vision. This position is a pastoral one that requires the individual to serve not solely as a musical or performing arts director, but also as a shepherd to the people who serve in this ministry.

This position requires its primary duty be the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge, defined as work which is predominantly intellectual in character and which includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee all worship staff and operations
Support all campus Worship departments and collaborate on set lists for the global experience
New song approval
Make hiring decisions (first round interviews, communicate with HR about candidates for open positions, etc)
Oversee weekend scheduling, guests & team staffing from a high level
Plan, execute, and communicate weekend worship creative element
Oversee Worship team audition process & team growth
Oversee new Dream Team member assimilation process
Oversee vocalists development (technical & spiritual)
Oversee stage presence development (including wardrobe and culture)
Lead Rehearsal on Thursday
Lead worship at Staff Meeting (on a rotating schedule)
Lead worship for Tuesday night service (on a rotating schedule)
Leading worship at a campus for weekend services
Attend weekly department meetings with Lead/Creative Pastors
Attend a Leadership Track for continued staff education once a week
Attend quarterly leadership meetings with all staff and volunteer directors
Attend weekly staff meetings

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment (routinely uses standard office equipment) and on stage with various musical instruments & lighting.

Physical Demands
Office time is mostly a sedentary role (stationary at desk and working on a computer); during rehearsals, services and events, must have high energy for multiple hour segments.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will be the same every week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities). These hours can/will fluctuate.

Sunday: 7:00AM – 2:00PM

Monday: 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Tuesday: 11:00AM – 8:30PM

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: 10:00AM – 9:30PM

Friday: Off

Saturday: 2:00PM – 7:00PM

Travel
Campus to campus local travel and occasional overnight trips will be expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

Level of experience: Advanced (applied theory)
Pastoral credentials
Experience leading Worship in a large church environment with auditoriums that seat 2500 or more.
Experience leading a multi-campus church.


Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree
