The Learning Consultant will collaborate with teachers to support Pre-K through 8th grade students with learning needs. This includes one-on-one or small group instruction. Instruction will include phonics skills, reading comprehension skills, and math remediation. The Learning Consultant will communicate with teachers to identify students who need support and to make learning plans for those students. The Learning Consultant will manage students' education plans including informing teachers about accommodations and ensuring plans are up to date. The Learning Consultant will help parents navigate the evaluation process. Learning Consultants, also, work in conjunction with principal and classroom teachers to provide learning extensions for students that can handle material beyond their current grade level Applicants should be certified with an emphasis in Special Education.
