The Operations Support Services Department provides services to support the mission and ministry of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod at the LCMS International Center. These services include: Building Services, Reception and Meeting Services, Mail and Print Services, Information Technology Desktop and Infrastructure Support Services, Technology Applications Group, and Overall Service Coordination. Reception and Meeting Services assists with coordinating meetings and events that take place at the LCMS International Center. This includes conference room scheduling and set up, as well as event catering needs. Meeting and Reception Services provides Front Desk services ensuring that all guests are greeted in a friendly and professional manner. The Front Desk also ensures all building entry security policies and procedures are followed.

Reporting Relationships
Reports to Security and Reception Services Manager

Essential Job Functions
Greets visitors to the LCMS International Center in a friendly, professional, and helpful way, serving as a positive contact between visitors and the IC staff.
Enforces the visitor security policy, ensuring that all visitors sign in and wear a visitor badge. Ensures an employee escort assumes responsibility for any visitor leaving the reception area.
Responsible for the distribution and proper return of Service, Frequent Visitor, and Commission and Board Member badges.
Reinforces employee badge policy by verifying all employees entering through the front desk area have their employee ID badges visible.
Provides administrative support to the Operations Support Services Team as needed.
Assist the Mail and Print Services Teams as needed.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred.
Three plus years clerical/administrative experience preferred.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Customer service oriented with exemplary interpersonal skills, personality and attitude that establishes favorable rapport with IC employees and visitors.
Uses quick judgment in making emergency calls to police and ambulances.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment and maintain confidentiality on restricted matters.
