Role Summary: This role requires the incumbent to be an active practicing Catholic.

The Campus Minister, supervised by the Principal and under the authority of the President/CEO, helps to create an environment which encourages and guides all members to contribute to the Catholic identity and the formation of a faith-based community which responds to the spiritual needs of the students, employees and parents. In collaboration with the administration, employees, parents, students, parishes, the Campus Minister brings to life a campus rich in the school’s charism, spiritual growth, prayer discipleship, sacramental experiences, social justice and preparation of high school and college graduates to become leaders in service for the Church and society. The Campus Minister must be Catholic, actively engaged with their parish and subscribes to the Catholic faith, identity and tenants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive):
Understands, embraces and implements the school’s mission and philosophy as written in the Mission Effectiveness Standards, participates in the Christ-centered life of the school; and models the school’s philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues and administration.
Supports the Catholic identity of DPCR as a faith-based high school.
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive staff and student data.
Regular communication with school personnel in regards to campus ministry activities through weekly newsletter.
Religion Department Chairperson and liaison with school administration for curricular and activity/event planning.
Organization and development or prayer experiences and the development of different forms of prayer and meditation to be used in classrooms.
Acts as a substitute teacher primarily for the religions department.
Collaborate with the Principal and Dean of Students to develop a five-year plan for Bruin Movement.
Coordinate and facilitate service opportunities for students, staff and families.
Collaborate with President/CEO and Principal in developing relationships with local spiritual leaders in the Cincinnati community of various faith backgrounds.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Theology, Divinity in Theology, Discipleship in Church Ministry or other related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
A practicing Catholic with educational experience in Catholic Schools or a practicing Catholic with educational experience with other Church-related ministries.
Maintain Ohio Department of Education certificate and or license in subject area to teach religion.
Three years of instructional experience in Religion, Campus/Church Ministry with high school students.
Three years of experience working with young people and families of under-resourced communities.
Demonstrated experience supporting diversity, equity and inclusion.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
Completed Protecting God’s Children workshop and is SafeParish compliant
