Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Have groups available that meet their site needs in demographic and spiritual maturity. These offerings can grow as the site expands, ensuring there are always opportunities for people to connect with quality community experiences..
  • Run Rooted 2x a year at their site
  • Equip existing leaders with Alpha to lead seekers, or host Alpha Onsite
  • Run Undivided at least once a year
  • Know what groups are meeting and share key groups with connections for new people to join. Recruit and launch group leaders who meet the needs of missing demographics at sites, in the timing that works best for the community.
  • Lead Crossroads Hosted Communities (formerly Onsite). Offerings grow as sites grow.
  • Equip and develop community/spiritual leaders through training and coaching
  • Run training 2x a year
  • Develop a team of coaches to equip and train leaders
  • Monthly leader communication and equipping
  • Work with Site Support on huddling leaders
  • Recruits, develops, and empowers volunteer leaders for all aspects of groups and group types.
  • Equips Connections Director with available offerings and ensures quality community experiences for people who get connected.
  • Works with offramps from Camps and Trips for people to get in community at their site.
  • Champions discipleship and spiritual growth at their site and through groups, cohorts and mentors
  • Mobilizes volunteer teams to execute community vision at their site, modeling discipleship
  • Groups focus, but also aware of calendar and able to move with Mentors and Cohorts (Online driving those)


Teams this person would own:

  • Group Leaders: Journey hosts, (small) Group Leaders, Community Leaders
  • Mentors: disciple makers who aren’t currently leading a Group
  • Leader Coaches: experienced leaders who can train, equip and coach other leaders

Qualifications:

  • Community-focused: creating space for all people to be known and belong
  • Discipling-minded (connection, growth, mission): this is the foundation of the work, so understanding principles and a passion to help people grow is key
  • Can build and organize teams of volunteers and volunteer leaders to execute the work
  • Takes initiative and critical thinking/problem solving
  • Great people skills
  • Ability to work under stress
  • Level headed positive outlook
  • Strategic execution of vision
  • Flexibility with plans and people
  • Good Listener
  • Self starter spiritually and emotionally
  • Must commit to expectations detailed in the “I Promise” document, including using the bible as the ultimate standard of truth, practicing spiritual disciplines and pursuing personal purity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Generally good physical health. Much work is office-based but does require setup and teardown of events.
  • Typical work days are Sunday-Thursday; hours vary based on group meetings and trainings in the evenings
