1. Plan and coordinate (including cost) music for Sunday morning contemporary church service – congregational and special
2. Plan and coordinate (including cost) music for special performances worship services
Christmas, Easter, and others as scheduled by the church
3. Preparation for praise band participation in worship
Planning music in advance in coordination with worship themes provided by Pastor
Weekly rehearsal and warmup prior to worship; extra rehearsals for special music
Set up and tear down equipment as required
4. Solicit and coordinate guest performers, musicians replace missing recruit, develop and disciple praise band members.
5. Research and select music selections that coordinate with worship themes. Obtain copies of music for praise band.
6. Lead the contemporary worship service in cooperation with the Pastor.
7. Plan and coordinate sound and media for contemporary worship service, including preparing media presentation for worship service. Recruit and equip people to serve in sound, media, and livestream ministries.
8. Always maintain the safe sanctuary policy and charge adult volunteers to do the same.
9. Introduce yourself to and make personal connection with each parent whose student frequents our programs and offer pastoral care or other forms of support to them as needed.
10. Provide spiritual leadership, direction, administration, and oversight off all discipleship opportunities offered for youth, which may or may not include Sunday school, mid-week large group gatherings, small group gatherings, monthly service project opportunities, yearly events, mission trips, etc.
11. Develop a youth ministry calendar of events and distribute information of those activities to youth, their families, and the congregation via announcements, word of mouth, and digital and printed media.

Any employee who is absent will provide a qualified substitute after consultation with the Pastor. If the substitute requires payment the employee will forfeit their proportionate weekly salary for the payment of the substitute.
