Custodian responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and public spaces.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors with annual stripping and waxing.
  • Cleaning windows and glass doors.
  • Keep all areas neat and fresh.
  • Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and tools.
  • Set-up and tear down of tables, chairs and other required items for worship and other “all-church” or “major ministry events” as defined by the Pastoral Staff.
  • Complete and turn in each daily checklist before clocking out.
  • Basic groundskeeping such as lawn care and clearing walkways

Requirements:

  • GED/High school diploma
  • Commitment to personal growth and healthy lifestyle.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to be flexible in shifts to fit the needs of the church.
  • Ability to perform duties during high occupancy times.
  • Ability to function as the “go-to” person for visitors, and laity during non-business hours.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate problems and opportunities to maximize the workflow.

Experience:

1-3 years of progressive experience in custodial or related field.

This position is 30 hours. Monday - Friday 3pm-9pm. Opportunity for additional hours on Saturday's and during special events.
