JOB SUMMARY
The Community Care Team Member serves the mission of Crossroads by welcoming and connecting people to Crossroads through the national team’s care systems: supports the social platform responses for services, creates a loving environment and extends hospitality through empathetic listening and building relationships.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determine needs, answer inquiries, resolve problems, refer and guide to community, fulfill requests and maintain workflow for communication directed to Crossroads (via National systems which include but are not limited to: phone/voicemail, chat, email, text, website, social pages)
  • Determine next steps for community members to engage to grow deeper in their faith
  • Recruit, train, encourage and supervise volunteers in their role
  • Collaborate with Crossroads’ National Teams to support and deliver Community Care best practices and ministry communication
  • Clearly and consistently communicate the vision for Crossroads, Community Care, and First Impressions
  • Write in the voice and tone of Crossroads while ensuring consistent messaging and branding


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent work experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Performs effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints
  • Must be able to walk up to 5 miles, standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, and stooping as duties required
  • Must be able to lift up 25 to 50 lbs

Scheduling / Travel Requirements:

  • 16 hours a week
  • Included nights and Sundays bi weekly
