SUMMARY
The Outreach Ministry Coordinator is responsible for advancing the Outreach Ministry at VCC through mobilizing people with key events and initiatives, both local and global under the direction and in line with the vision of Vineyard Cincinnati. Primary responsibilities are: to successfully execute and maximize participation in church-wide outreach events; to promote key global partnerships and initiatives; to proactively support a collaborative ministry approach with all Vineyard ministries; to develop a volunteer team to fulfill these objectives and ensure the operational needs of the ministry are met; to model the outward-focused lifestyle for others.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful Event Execution

  • Follow a clear project management process for each event, including management of timeline, budgets, marketing/communications, and collaboration with other teams/key leaders.
  • Recruit and manage volunteer serving teams for each event, with clear role descriptions and expectations for before, during, and after each event.
  • Update and maintain outreach events calendar, communications, processes and budgets.
  • Ensure adequate timing for pre- and post-event planning and feedback.
  • Being present at local events as required by the Director.
  • Travel to global sites where outreach partnerships exist, leading teams at ministry sites doing global outreach and enhancing relationships with local site leaders. Trips typically range from 5-7 days in length with an expectation of 1 trip bi-annually.

Recruitment, Care and Support of Volunteer Teams

  • Coordinate communication of short term mission teams (STM), and work with STM leaders to determine trip logistics and activities, as well as track participant funding.
  • Support the Director in creating and maintaining systems that mobilize people from weekend services into outreach activity, and then on to an evangelistic lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with the ministry team to identify problems/bottlenecks and bring solutions.
  • Exhibit a customer-service attitude and respond within 24 hours (office hours) to voicemails, phone calls, and requests for information on behalf of the ministry.

Ministry Team Collaboration

  • Support the Director in managing & executing local and global outreach partnerships.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and development opportunities as scheduled and/or requested.
  • Proactively develop and maintain systems, processes and forms for maximum productivity.
  • Proactively meets all reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma required, some college preferred
  • Desire to learn and calling in ministry required
