St. John Fisher in Newtown, Ohio, seeks a part-time Pastoral Associate to provide overall leadership and direction for total parish faith formation in the parish. Primary responsibilities include the oversight of our children’s religious education programs (including 1st Reconciliation/1st Communion and Confirmation) and adult faith formation programs. Additional responsibilities include providing pastoral care to parishioners and overseeing the liturgical ministry program (lectors, Eucharistic distributors, etc.). The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education, or related field, or commensurate ministry experience, and have work experience in a parish. Candidate must be a practicing Catholic with excellent organizational and communication skills.
