JOB SUMMARY
The Volunteer Engagement Leader is responsible for promoting and enabling strong Volunteerism at their Crossroads site. The Volunteer Engagement Leader can expect their work to focus on supporting the site and ministries as they work to cultivate vibrant volunteer teams through recruitment, onboarding and momentum building one-time serves. They will reports to and works with the Connections Director for opportunities to engage people in serving across the entire campus.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keenly aware of all volunteer needs in their campus
  • Leads a team of volunteers to run Crossroads 101 programming and the back end of onboarding volunteers
  • Expert on Ministry Platform and Rock
  • Runs the entire process for big Event one-time serves and follows up with those volunteers to onboard them to more ongoing serving opportunities
  • Create inviting experiences to welcome potential and new volunteers to Crossroads and their site
  • Lead the following volunteer teams: Recruiting, Onboarding, Crossroads 101 and Big Events One-time Serves

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Experience/Skill Requirements:
  • Connector of people/Networker
  • A passion for the mission of Crossroads and volunteering
  • Strong Leader of multiple volunteer teams
  • Systems oriented to manage the onboarding of all volunteers
  • Excellent computer skills/ability to learn our MP or Rock data systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work Sunday through Thursday at the site with the public
  • Performs effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints
  • Must be able to walk up to 5 miles, and other physical execution of events as duties required
  • Must be able to lift up 25 to 50 lbs
