The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland recently shared a sneak peek of its March/April magazine issue. According to the report, the issue includes clergy assignment changes and news briefs.

Aside from that, it also has blogs showing why attending Mass is obligatory and how to make Lent more meaningful.

Northeast Ohio Catholic Magazine

Northeast Ohio Catholic Magazine is a valuable tool for inspiration and formation as the official magazine of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. The magazine inspires the almost 700,000 Catholics in the diocese to take their faith seriously.

According to the diocese, close to 240,000 homes in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland receive the publication free of charge twice a month.

The recent edition focuses on Keeping the Faith, a new program designed to improve Catholic elementary schools in the diocese.

Per the news released by the diocese, five years of research, preparation, and stakeholder participation resulted in the plan's unveiling, and its specifics will now be shared with readers.

Its purpose is to ensure that Catholic schools in the diocese remain unmistakably Catholic, pedagogically excellent, administratively efficient, and geographically accessible.

What's in the Magazine?

The Bishop columnist, Bp. Edward Malesic, reviews the year 2022. His diocesan priorities have included, and still include, putting more emphasis on the Eucharist and strengthening Catholic schools.

Also, now that Lent has begun, the readers are encouraged to try one of the vegetarian meal plans to help them observe the abstinence required on Fridays.

In February, Catholic Charities presented its 2022 Appeal. The central idea of it is "A time to heal. A time to help."

Per the report, the topics they explore in the latest issue are the importance of attending Mass each week, the correct way to receive Communion, and ways to deepen the faith during Lent.

Things to Do lists, clergy changes, and news briefs are all there, as are other standard elements.

About the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland

On April 23, 1847, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland was established.

According to the website, the United States ranks it the twenty-third largest diocese

Catholic Charities-Diocese of Cleveland is one of the largest diocesan systems of social assistance in the world, serving over 613,000 Catholics in the diocese. The diocese has "185 churches, 108 Catholic schools, a pastoral center, and a mission office."

A cathedral is dedicated to St. John the Evangelist right in the heart of Cleveland.

Because of their faith, they can display Jesus Christ's saving work in every aspect of our lives. Evangelizing and spreading the Word of God is at the heart of everything they do as Catholics.

Their beliefs are consistent with those of the Catholic Church, as outlined in the Nicene Creed. Per the website, the belief that the Catholic Church is "one, holy, Catholic, and Apostolic" is one of these cornerstones.

Understanding these four declarations is facilitated by the teachings and actions of the Catholic Church.

Catholics develop these further by participating in ceremonies commemorating sacraments, saints, and the Church's purpose and authority as a whole.
