Cleveland Performing Arts Ministries' 46th Season of Tetélestai

Tetelestai is a musical portrayal of the trial, execution, and resurrection of Jesus written by Joel and Russ Nagy. According to MSN, the Cleveland Performing Arts Ministries has announced its 46th season of Tetélestai.

Donations and other forms of fundraising support the performances. The report said there would be no charge for admission.

The Cleveland Performing Arts Ministries is a Christian community located in Northern Ohio. It believes God has called its members to proclaim the Gospel through the prayerful re-enactment of Christ's sacrifice and victory over death.

Throughout the season of Lent, the church tries, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to instill Christ's teachings in the lives and hearts of others.

Tetélestai is a production of Cleveland Performing Arts Ministries, a non-profit organization in Cleveland, Ohio. According to the website, the cast and crew of Tetélestai are all volunteers, and their ages range from infants to people who are over 80 years old.

In 1974, Joel and Russ Nagy of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church came up with the idea for a ministry outreach performance that would be performed by youth from the surrounding community. Per the website, Tetélestai has evolved into a custom that thousands of people observe every year during the season of Lent.

Remembering the greatest sacrifice that Christ made during his time on earth is one way to prepare for Easter's joy.

Church Beliefs

According to the teachings of the Church of God, every single word of the Bible is equally and divinely inspired.

Jesus Christ, in its view, is God the Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and resurrected from the dead. He went to heaven and now mediates between people and God the Father.

Per the website, the church also believes that Jesus will return before the millennium.

The first purpose is to bring back to life the righteous dead and to take away the living saints to meet Him in the air. And second, to rule over Earth for a thousand years.
