Our Senior Pastor was born and raised in Boswell, Oklahoma, where he attended the First Baptist Church as a child. At the age of nine God convicted his heart of the need to place his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. As a teen, God called him into vocational ministry.

Pastor Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Oklahoma Baptist University before obtaining the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He has served as the Senior Pastor of FBCG since 2004. Previous, he served as the Senior Pastor of Floyd Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas, and Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, Texas.

In addition to serving in the pastorate, Pastor Greg has taught theology on the university level at Wayland Baptist University and Dallas Baptist University. He has also supervised doctoral projects for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2009, he authored the book, “Now My Eye Sees You: What A Doctorate Did Not Teach Me About God, My Son Did.” His hobbies include running half marathons, traveling, and broadcasting sporting events for Cumulus Broadcasting.
