Pastors for Texas Children believe that public education is a human right, a constitutional guarantee, and a central part of God’s plan for human flourishing. If you do as well, please join us for a Celebration of Public Education. This will be a time of cultivating support of our schools through acts of social justice and legislation that puts the needs of Texas children, families, and communities first.

Pastors for Texas Children is not beholden to any special interest group, political party, or church office. They believe in local democracy, cooperation across lines of difference, and organizing to support public education opportunities for Texas children. This is lived out in acts of prayer, service, and advocacy that respect God’s good gifts of religious liberty and church-state separation.

Please join us as we gather in Vickrey Hall at Royal Lane Baptist Church with Charles Foster Johnson, Executive Director of Pastors for Texas Children.

4:30pm to 5pm – a time to gather and visit with light refreshments

5pm to 5:20pm – a time to hear about the work of Pastors for Texas Children and the cause of public education

5:20pm to 6pm – a time for facilitated conversation on how we can cultivate support of our schools through acts of social justice and legislation that puts the needs of Texas children, families, and communities first.
