Join us for this four-part summer series on how we got the Bible we have today. We'll cover how the Jewish people came to be the first group whose worship was based on the reading and interpretation of a written text, how these scriptures became the first Christian Bible, how we later lost a large portion of these scriptures from our Bible, and how the New Testament came to be. Each of these is a fascinating story in and of itself. Collectively, it is the story of how we got the Bible we have today. The series will end by exploring what translation is, how it is done, the translations available today, and guidelines on picking a translation as well as a study Bible.
