Full Job Description
The responsibilities of the After Hours Facilities Access Manager include:
- Arrive on campus and receive daily status from Facilities Manager
- Walk campus and check rooms (locked/unlocked, in order, etc.)
- Check rooms for safety (trip hazards, lighting, improperly placed furniture, etc.)
- Check rooms for health hazards (dirty surfaces, suboptimal bathroom conditions, etc.)
- Check parking and driveway areas – this finalizes a complete observation of campus.
- Log observations on sheet (or in system when one is created)
- Report observations to parish safety director
- Be able to make simple repairs/adjustments (door hardware adjustment, light bulb replacement, etc.)
- Be able to perform occasional janitorial duties
- Log time spent on specific tasks and submit weekly time reports
- Be available to be on site on an ad hoc basis, to stay late on occasional nights, etc.
The campus as a whole is defined as the sanctuary, parish office, school building, media center, parish hall, primary school building, gym building/classrooms, communion hall and adjoining rooms, gate access points, parking
Job Requirements
The set of skills and/or abilities necessary for the After Hours Facilities Access Manager includes:
- Ability to ednure extended walking and stair climbing
- Ability to occasionally carry medium-weight items (ladders, boxes, etc.)
- Ability to follow the campus calendar and meet all parties at the specified location/time
- Proficiency with handwriting data into forms
- Ability to enter data into computer forms or smartphone
- Ability to maintain a positive professional rapport with ministers who are using campus facilities
- Basic non-destructive skills using tools (careful adjustments to doors, tightening screws, etc.)
- Ability to perform non-destructive maintenance (change flourescent lights, etc.)
