Assistant Director of Ministry Formation
Requirements
Proven attention to detail and organizational skills
Collaborative approach to ministry: ability to work together in a diversely gifted team to accomplish shared ministry objectives
Ability to offer pastoral care and spiritual direction to students
Seasoned people-skills including conflict resolution
Eagerness to learn new software, systems, and processes
Flexibility to change and adapt to new processes during seasons of Seminary growth
Master’s Degree completed (not in progress)
3 years of pastoral care or shepherding experience in a ministry-related position
Duties
Implement Canvas course design, regular maintenance, and related logistics
Advise students not registered for Internship: addressing questions about the process, requirements, registration, course sequencing, and vocational counseling
Supervise registered students during the Internship, site visits, graded interactions, student questions, portfolio completion, and exit interviews
Engage in resources for the field of theological field education, including professional conferences and continuing education
Participate in departmental strategic evaluation, planning, and weekly meetings
Promote awareness of the mission and activities of the Department on the Dallas Seminary campus and building relationships with students, staff, faculty, and internship-sites
