The Associate Pastor is one who is gifted and is called to church ministry, loves people, and has a passion for evangelism, outreach, and missions both personally and at the ministry level within a multi-generational congregation setting. He has a passion for the Word of God and desire to proclaim the Word of God with conviction and confidence always moving the congregation towards taking consistent spiritual steps. He is missions-minded and will lead the congregation to serve both locally and globally.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with shepherding the congregation during worship services. i.e. prayer, counseling, etc.
Able to recruit, teach, train, spiritually support and effectively supervise volunteers for adult small groups and adult ministries within the church
Sourcing and recruiting volunteers through various techniques
Collecting information on availabilities and skills
Arranging for appropriate training when needed
Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed
Ensure the purpose of the organization and its actions is clearly communicated
Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments
Work with the Lead and campus Pastors to ensure weekend services are executed according to his vision
Available to greet and answer questions
Know the congregation by showing intense interest in them. This will include getting to know personal and family stories of the active members of the church
High level of integrity, Attention to details, Organized, Problem solving
Ability to maintain effective systems and make changes when necessary.
Ability to connect with children and adults.
Pursue personal spiritual growth through private devotional time.
Maintain, as a priority, a right relationship with God and family.
Align with the beliefs and leadership of One Community Church.
Able to communicate effectively with diverse people
Excellent organizational and team coordination abilities
A pleasant, outgoing personality

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in biblical studies, theology, or ministry preferred; or 5 years of equivalent training and experience in a church ministry
Experience in speaking, teaching, and communicating biblical principles preferred
