Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifying, preparing and/or decorating internal and external elements of the campus, which may include the use of paint, stains, varnish, lacquers, solvents, paper, and/or decorative finishes
Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting including sanding and removing old paint
Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler
Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings as needed
Be able to effectively select correct paint, mix required portions of pigment, oil, thinning and drying substances to match specified or previously applied colors
Paint surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray gun, cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to produce or replicate special effects
Properly use stain, sealers, fillers, and varnish on wood surfaces
Must possess the ability to properly use scaffolding or ladders in accordance with accepted safety standards when working above ground level
Must be certified or able to be certified to operate powered man-lifts
Remove graffiti from the interior and exterior of the buildings
Detect needed repairs on building painted surfaces employing established inspection procedures
Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on materials, color formula, and labor hours used
Inspect work areas upon completion and ensure area is clean and ready for use
Function in an interactive and cross-functional relationship with all other ministries and support areas of the church
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Minister of Facilities Management and/or Construction Manager

Should have at least a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must have previous building maintenance experience
Must possess valid Texas driver license
Must pass a background screen
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Must possess written and verbal communications skills
Physical Requirements:
Constantly lifting up to 10 lbs; frequently lifting up to 70 lbs
Frequent walking, 3-5 miles per day
Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping and using trade tools
Requires repetitive use of feet and hands
Working in an indoor/outdoor environment with temperature ranges from below freezing to over 100 degrees at times
Regular exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud noises
Working safely on ladders of varying heights, scaffolding, and man-lifts
Walking on uneven or slippery surfaces
