Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning events by coordinating registration, catering, childcare and entering all room requests in Service U for Group Life ministry as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating all printed materials, ordering resources or curriculum for all facets of ministry as needed (nametags, evaluations, study materials, etc.).
  • Create flyers, brochures, and posters in coordination with the Graphic Designer for Group Life Ministries on an as-needed basis.
  • Communicate effectively for Group Life as needed, including submitting publicity requests, answering phone calls and returning emails in a timely manner, updating the website, etc.
  • Apply and utilize the church database for the completion of all department assignments including communications, registrations, lists, groupings, reports, activity and volunteer management and all other functions involving the use of an individual’s records and information, as well as small group information.
  • Maintain financial aspects of the ministries through deposits, check requests and the processing of invoices as needed.
  • Participate in the Group Life departmental meeting and meet with each ministry leader in Group Life as needed.
  • Meet as needed with Events Manager to confirm event details.
  • Administratively support the Women’s Minister and Women’s Ministry Board.
  • Administratively support the Care Minister & various Ministry Board.
  • Manage the weekly prayer list, in coordination with the Care Minister, by following up with those on the prayer list to obtain updates and reflecting all communication on the weekly report.
  • Support the Care Minister in coordinating funerals and the Director of Wedding Services in coordinating on-campus weddings.
  • Coordinate the On‐Call minister schedule for Monday‐Thursday.
  • Cover the front desk as needed, coordinating schedule with the Office Manager, and performing all duties associated with that role.
  • Assist with other duties as requested, including performing errands as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.

  • Actively attend and participate in Northwest Bible Church ministry
  • Ability to problem solve and utilize creative solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to details
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle conflict with conviction and love
  • Strong propensity for database and reporting functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word
  • Strong social media skills
  • Previous administrative experience preferred
