Summary of Position:
This role is responsible to help provide leadership to the Gateway Students (GWS) Central Team for the execution of core ministry components and the development of new ministry initiatives. Under the direction of the Lead Students Pastor, this person will help lead the GWS ministry teams across all campuses towards unity and consistent deployment of the ministry vision. They will also represent GWS to other central ministry teams for the sake of collaboration. Understanding the relational connection between the campus and central ministries is critical to success in this role. This person will directly work with the Lead Students Pastor to receive vision and develop strategy. They will then relate with the campus teams to lead them in content, communication, consistency, and all changes that may come to the ministry. They will also collaborate with the Next Gen Content Pastor for the development of sermon series content, social media content, and all other deliverables that support the vision of GWS. A high degree of pastoral, organizational, and communicative skills are required. This person will provide direct pastoral ministry to the Student Pastors and teams through meetings, mentoring, and regularly rotating to serve all campuses. The position requires full knowledge of Gateway Church's ministries, processes, and policies to effectively create a culture that is consistent with Gateway DNA.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
- Meet regularly with Lead Students Pastor for direction and oversight.
- Help provide oversight to the Students Central Team and leadership for them to carry out the vision.
- Meet regularly with Campus Student Pastors to cast vision, provide support, and offer feedback.
- Collaborate with Next Gen Content Pastor on creation process for sermon series.
- Help lead creation and planning process of Students church-wide events.
- Help lead the development of a new weekend experience for middle school, and a robust leadership development program for high school.
- Oversee the execution and implementation of the school outreach initiatives.
- Develop volunteer leadership training and onboarding process.
- Ensure Playbook is up to date, and accurate for campus teams
- Represent central vision to all campuses.
- Provide GWS ministry leadership to Student Pastors at the campus.
- Run day-to-day strategy and ministry for Gateway Students Central Team.
- Carry out vision for annual Student Conference, Camps, and special events.
- Participate in weekend rotation ministry as directed by Central Oversight.
- Participate in central Pastor On-Call rotations as required.
