Summary
Provide support before and during services and special events by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned)

  • Manage music and fine arts personnel/ services weekly for the Children’s Ministry
  • Schedule and manage request for music/ fine arts services for special events
  • Assist in managing Children’s Ministry special projects
  • Plan, implement and evaluate the annual worship calendar, including service formats, themes, and special programs
  • Manage logistics of all Children’s Ministry worship services
  • Meet weekly and/or prepare weekly reports for the Executive Director of Worship and/or the Director of

Children’s Ministry regarding worship teams

Oral Communication – Ability to communicate primarily in English. Speak clearly and persuasively in positive and/or negative situations. Listen and get clarification in order to respond to questions.

Planning/Organizing – Must possess solid time management skills and organizational abilities. The ability to coordinate several activities at once and to quickly analyze and resolve specific problems is important. Plan for additional resources. Set goals and objectives. Develop realistic action plans.

Problem Solving – Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and demonstrate the ability to develop alternative solutions. Gather and analyze information in order to develop alternative solutions. Work well in group problem solving situations.

Technical Skills – Familiar with the use of multi-shot cameras and other media equipment. Possess the knowledge of methods, practices, and procedures in filming. Assess own strengths and weaknesses. Teamwork – Balance team and individual responsibilities. Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views and ideas and is willing to try new things. Give and welcome feedback. Written Communication – Write routine reports and other correspondence clearly and informatively and can vary writing style to meet needs. Edit work for spelling and grammar. Read and interpret written information, primarily in English.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have some college in areas of business and management.

An appreciation of and ability to plan and implement a variety of worship styles and should be strong in communication and have a heart for worship and to teach children.

  • Faithfully give at least 10% of their income to the ministry of OCBF.
  • Faithfully serve in one of the ministries of the church in a volunteer capacity.
  • Agree to read and function under the guidelines and authority of the Church Constitution and By-Laws
