Position Summary

Full-time employee to manage Bloomerang, The Stewpot’s donor database, and Foundation Directory Online (FDO), a foundation search software. Daily tasks will include working in the databases, data entry, printing, scanning, copying, logging, etc.

 


Essential Functions

  • Participate on a mail-sorting team.
  • Print acknowledgements for Executive Director or Director of Philanthropy & Engagement’s signatures.
  • Scan signed letters.
  • Enter gifts in donor records.
  • Create new donor records, as needed.
  • Keep donor profiles and relationships updated and add/revise donor interactions or notes as needed.
  • Conduct requested donor research in Bloomerang, FDO and via online research.
  • Create accurate reports, mailing lists and other donor lists from Bloomerang as needed.
  • Continually update Bloomerang organization and processes to better facilitate accurate, easy-to-understand, and consistent reports, mailing lists and other donor lists.
  • Continually use the Bloomerang help function to learn how to use Bloomerang better.
  • Use Bloomerang to provide accurate monthly financial reports.
  • Write and mail thank you notes.
  • Clarify donor information in Bloomerang and answer donor questions by phoning or emailing donors, as needed.
  • Transfer any outside written donor information to Bloomerang as part of the donor profile, an interaction or a note.
  • Other tasks as requested by the Manager of Development or Director of Philanthropy & Engagement or Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of and experience working with donor databases, especially Bloomerang and other philanthropy software, such as Foundation Directory online.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Interact well with donors and other Stewpot constituents.
