Qualifications
The Development Manger should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional fundraising experience
  • Proven experience designing and managing development programs
  • Demonstrated experience in building a portfolio of major donors and networkers through existing donors and contacts in the community
  • Competent in using MS Office Suite and Donor management software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in the school community
  • Serve as a professional ambassador and representative of the school
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience raising funds for a capital campaign
  • Planned giving knowledge preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including comfort and presenting at gatherings casting vision, and inviting support.
  • Exceptional leadership and teamwork capabilities
  • Excellent social qualities, a sound character, and a firm and kind manner
  • Excellent and proven people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality.
  • Ability and comfort level in asking for money and making cold calls on a regular basis
  • Strong organizational abilities, sound judgment, and good common sense
  • Desired, practicing Catholic and formator with an excellent moral reputation, apostolic zeal for working for the Church, whose vocation is to lead, serve, and form the faculty and staff of the school.
