Description
First Baptist Dallas, a Spiritual Oasis in downtown Dallas is seeking a Digital Pastor. We are looking for a Christ-centered candidate, who wants to join a team of disciplined and talented superstars who are passionate about accomplishing our mission of “Transforming our world with God’s Word..one life at a time”.
The Digital Pastor will develop strategies to increase local, national, and international reach of the church’s online ministry, with the goal of sharing the gospel through God’s Word to hundreds of thousands of individuals in every country in the world. The successful Digital Pastor will have the global vision and entrepreneurial spirit to further develop the iCampus into a worldclass ministry, along with a pastor’s heart intent on making disciples in new and creative ways.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Create compelling opportunities for digital engagement for unchurched people worldwide through the iCampus, social media outlets, Zoom, and other digital platforms
• Champion the online presence of our church and act as the primary pastoral connection point for our growing local and global audience
• Develop a strategy for encouraging and shepherding local iCampus viewers towards in-person engagement in the life and ministries of our church
• Develop innovative online discipleship resources and opportunities for iCampus audience
• Research best practices and emerging trends in online ministry and continue developing our iCampus ministry into a worldclass platform for sharing the gospel
• Create an effective follow-up plan for shepherding and ministering to those who make decisions or express ministry needs through the iCampus
• Function in an interactive and cross-functional relationship with all other ministries and support areas of the church
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Minister of Communications & Broadcast
MINISTRY MEASURABLES:
• Boulder Grid Quarterly Review
• Report regularly on the demographic makeup of the iCampus audience
• Report regularly on the growth of the iCampus audience and the effectiveness of efforts to connect local viewers to on-campus ministries
• Report regularly on the efficiency and effectiveness of follow-up efforts
• Report regularly on the various kinds of engagement with iCampus viewers
Qualifications
• Fully committed to the Vision & Mission of First Baptist Dallas
• Embody our Green Team Characteristics and practice Operating Principles
• Demonstrate characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity
• Pastoral care experience of a minimum of five years.
• Experience of a minimum of three years with Video production, social media/networking (Instagram, Facebook, Zoom) and email strategy
• Experience of a mimimum of three years of leading or serving in online environments
• High School Diploma required
• College degree required; Seminary degree prefered
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Requires occasional bending/stooping
• Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods of time
