Full Job Description

The Director of Parish and Family Life serves as a resource and support to all parishioners and families in all aspects of parish and sacramental life, providing leadership and direction to the office team and pastor in the three pillars: teaching, sanctifying, and governing at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish.

Manages the Office of Family Formation and oversees the K-12 Family Faith Formation program by planning, developing, organizing, coordinating, and facilitating the program
Provides support and supervision for Youth Ministry, RCIA, RCIA adapted for Children (RCIC) and Vacation Bible School
Provides resources and programs for adult on-going formation
Assists Pastor with Diocesan data information
Contributes to the initial formation and ongoing development of various ministry and parish groups.
Prepares and schedules sacramental programs and worship services for families
Orders resources, teaching materials and books for the program
Supervisor to Associate Director of Family Life
Establish communications with parents by preparing and publishing emails, newsletters, and making copies of handouts as deemed necessary

Job Requirements

Degree in Religious Education, Theology, or related field
Experienced in faith formation
Active in the Roman Catholic faith and commitment to function in a manner consistent with the mission of the Church
Demonstrates capability to carry out administrative and supervisory duties in a timely fashion utilizing good communication and relationship skills
Working knowledge of religious education and documents
Must have the ability to work and communicate with children, youth, and adults
Time Management skills, managing one’s time as well as others’
Ability to multi-task; be flexible and capable of handling a variety of on-going projects at the same time
Bi-lingual is an advantage
