We seek Christ-centered professionals who want to join a team of disciplined and talented superstars committed to working together to accomplish our mission. The Executive Assistant – Worship Ministry position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Worship Ministry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing the duties and responsibilities of the Music & Worship ministry
Assist in the planning of all mission trips made by the Adult Choir and Orchestra, including keeping all financial records
Make calls, contacts, and emails for the Minister of Music & Worship
Handle communications, scheduling, travel, and calendaring responsibilities of the Minister of Music & Worship
Update and maintain adult Choir rolls in Arena for mail list and notification server
Communicate with Adult Choir Officers and keep them informed of all information pertinent to their ministry area
Prepare and send weekly emails to all adult music ministry participants
Send mass text messages to all adult participants
Prepare announcement slides for weekly rehearsals
Prepare choir and orchestra prayer list for weekly distribution
Ensure all rehearsal music is in the room at the time of rehearsal
Assist in preparing budgets for general music and Adult Choir
Submit check requests/purchase orders in Shelby Next and prepare monthly Visa statements
Reserve meeting/rehearsal spaces in Service U for all available music and Adult Choir needs
Attend planning meetings for music staff, all church staff, and training sessions
Function in an interactive relationship with all other ministries of the church, the church fellowship, and entities/personalities outside the church
Perform all other duties assigned by the Minister of Music & Worship

Must be fully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist Dallas
Fully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministry
Must be committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally
Must possess characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity
Must be an active member of First Baptist Dallas

Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)

Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating Principles
Must be committed to the mission and core values of First Baptist Dallas (FBD)
Must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of administrative assistant experience
Must have High School Diploma, preferably a Bachelor’s degree
Must have strong communication skills
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
Must have some knowledge of office equipment including Mac, telephone, copy machine
Competent and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and schedule multiple projects
Analytical, detail-oriented, efficient, problem solver, ability to manage creative people
Background in music ministry a plus
Able to work Sunday through Thursday

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and walk for prolonged periods
Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for 3-5 hours
Must be able to lift to 30 pounds
