Responsibilities:

  • Assist in compiling materials, planning and executing Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities: print, distribute, collect, and enter into spreadsheet the attendance for the activities; print out various reports from the database that are required by the Ministers.
  • Help plan and organize Family Ministry events, serve as a point person for scheduling and registration, coordinate with volunteers, assist in the logistics and compiling of event materials, resources, and catering.
  • Maintain Family Ministry website.
  • Create activities and on-line registration forms in the database for Family Ministry events. Maintain the RSVP lists for the events and assist in executing events.
  • Schedule families for Parent Child Dedication and Sunday preparations: slides for each service, document for Senior Pastor, nametags for families, and pew savers. Coordinate the completion of the dedication certificates for the families.
  • Coordinate with Ministers to schedule baptism meetings; coordinate with Worship Administrative Assistant to schedule baptism services and send all necessary information.
  • Work with Ministers and Communications team to create flyers, posters, and brochures for various Family Ministry events.
  • Work with Events Manager to ensure all event details have been input into event system correctly and details are secure.
  • Assist in processing Children’s Ministry Volunteer applications: send out volunteer applications, perform background checks, check personal references, and maintain filing system (this includes volunteers involved in some ministries and special events sponsored by Children’s Ministry as well as regular Sunday and Wednesday volunteers); make nametags for the volunteers. Schedule Elementary Ministry volunteer for Sunday morning.
  • Apply and utilize the master church database for the completion of all department assignments including communications, lists, groupings, reports, activity and volunteer management and all other functions involving the use of an individual’s records and information.
  • Continue to gain and sharpen database application skills through regular participation in database training.
  • Print, mail and distribute letters, flyers, calendars, and posters to keep parents, staff and students informed.
  • Send visitor letters and manage first time visitor letter contacts in F1 for Children’s ministry.
  • Populate the Publicity Request document to list events on the bulletin or verbal announcements.
  • Other job duties as required.

Qualifications
Requirements:

This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.

  • Exhibit strong communication skills, written and oral, fluent in English, with an ability to edit and proofread effectively.
