Fast growing United Methodist Church in Frisco, TX is seeking a Financial Assistant. Position is part time. The job includes daily financial tasks and support of the Director of Finance. This role interacts with guests that come into the church. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the church and be involved in a variety of ministries.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Include:

  • Process miscellaneous event deposits and record deposits in church accounting software (ACS)
  • Run credit card gifts reports and prepare deposit for credit card gifts.
  • Enter check requests in ACS, enter invoices into tracking log, pay bills, and process weekly invoices to be mailed after being signed.
  • Prepare financial tasks for satellite campus (i.e. coding A/P, reports, etc.)
  • Process staff Credit cards statements and upload transactions into ACS.
  • Assist with monitoring of cash flow, back up for payroll, and contribution reporting statements.
  • Conduct background checks and maintain w-9s.
  • Prepare and record journal entries into ACS.
  • Monthly event payments processing.
  • Assist with all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Bank Reconciliation
  • Ensure financial transactions and financial reporting are prepared in accordance with church policies

In 1999, St. Andrew planted a new church in Frisco, Grace Avenue United Methodist Church. Significant amounts of human, financial and spiritual resources were donated in order to give the new churches every opportunity in their respective, growing communities.
