To assist the ministers and directors of Group Life in executing the communication and administrative details of the ministry, primarily focusing on Groups, Connecting, and Mens Ministries.
Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly. Monday Friday, some Wednesday nights and Sundays requiredResponsibilities:Assist in planning events by coordinating registration, catering, childcare and entering all room requests in Service U for Group Life ministry as needed. Assist in coordinating all printed materials, ordering resources or curriculum for all facets of ministry as needed (nametags, evaluations, study materials, etc.). 
Create flyers, brochures, and posters in coordination with the Graphic Designer for Group Life Ministries on an as-needed basis.
Communicate effectively for Group Life as needed, including submitting publicity requests, answering phone calls and returning emails in a timely manner, updating the website, etc. Apply and utilize the church database for the completion of all department assignments including communications, registrations, lists, groupings, reports, activity and volunteer management and all other functions involving the use of an individuals records and information, as well as small group information. Maintain financial aspects of the ministries through deposits, check requests and the processing of invoices as needed. Participate in the Group Life departmental meeting and meet with each ministry leader in Group Life as needed. Meet as needed with Events Manager to confirm event details. Assist in the organization of small groups by maintaining small groups participant and leader database. Administratively support and coordinate all event planning for leadership training events. Coordinate contact meetings and scheduling for adult baptisms. Administratively support and coordinate all event planning for New Member Workshops, including communicating and coordinating the volunteer team schedule. Work with the database manager to ensure that new member pictures and information is imported into the database. Assist the Connecting Director with scheduling elder interviews for new members. Administratively support the Pastors Connection dinner scheduling, catering, etc. Assist with other duties as requested, including performing errands as needed.

Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle conflict with conviction and love. Strong propensity for database and reporting functionsProficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and WordStrong social media skills Previous administrative experience preferred.
