Scope: Plan and develop high school ministry

Responsibilities
Be a student of teenage culture and identify the needs and best practices in which to reach them for the Gospel.
Work with Family Pastor and Middle School Pastor to develop a well thought out plan to create a thriving and intentional student ministry.
Work with the Family Team to develop a well though out plan to equip parents for a lifestyle of discipleship with their children.
Be a champion for Northwest Bible’s vision and mission.
Communicate regularly with parents and partner with them to support discipleship of their students.
Recruit, equip and shepherd leaders to disciple kids confidently by leading by example, resourcing them, and encouraging them on a regular basis.
Meet regularly with adult leaders in high school ministry.
Build personal and meaningful relationships with students and leaders.
Plan and prepare weekly student service aimed to help a student worship, connect with Scripture, and connect with others.
Arrange opportunities throughout the month to unite students with each other and Jesus Christ.
Regularly attend student events to build relationships and to show support to students of Northwest.
Organize and direct seasonal events such as: retreats, camps, mission trips, outreach events, connecting events, and fun events.
Clearly articulate the future for High School ministry and understand the steps needed to be effective.
Assist in planning and executing Family Ministry events to equip and shepherd parents.
All other duties as required.
Qualifications
Requirements
As a religious organization, all employees must affirm and adhere to the Church’s Doctrinal Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for involvement with the ministry. This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.
Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord.
Active attendance and participation at Northwest Bible Church.
A degree from an accredited seminary or similar institution.
Gifted Bible teacher with ability to communicate biblical truth to students in a relevant, engaging manner.
Outgoing personality and strong people skills with an ability to relate to all ages in general and students in particular.
Respect for parents and their role as the God-given authority in their children’s lives.
Able to work cooperatively as a team-player with all members of the church staff.
Basic Microsoft Office, social media, and computer skills.
Preferences
Master’s degree in related field, Seminary preferred.
5 years’ experience in an actively thriving ministry or similar profession.
