General Summary of the Position

The Human Resources Administrator maintains employee records, updates HR databases for new hires, separations, vacation, and sick leaves; assists in payroll preparation by providing relevant data such as absences and PTO leaves. The HRA is also responsible for the administration of our Safe Environment program. This includes training classes, management of database, ministry and organization mediation and follow up. This position also assists our Accounts Payable and Contributions Administrator with weekly donation counts and other accounting administration help as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

Works with all ministries and organizations to ensure safe environment clearance volunteers
Maintains accurate database and physical records on employees and volunteers
Can delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed
Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies)
Update HR databases (e.g., new hires, separations, vacation, and sick leaves)
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus, and leaves
Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information
Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars
Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding information and explaining church policies
Manages Safe Environment program with the Diocese of Dallas including coordination with all ministries and organizations to ensure volunteers are safe environment cleared.
Assists Accounts Payable and Contributions Administrator with weekly contributions count and other accounting tasks as needed.
Performs additional projects, duties, and tasks as directed.

Strong verbal and written skills.
Ability to work closely with others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Publisher), Elexio, and basic internet knowledge.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.

Education and Experience

College Education preferred.
Knowledge of the teachings of our Church and the ability to apply those teachings in dealing with problems.
Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Certification.
