Scope: To direct and manage all human resource functions of the church.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

FLSA: Exempt

Environment: Office/Desk

Responsibilities:
Develop, recommend and implement policies and programs to ensure equitable treatment of staff members in the areas of employment, compensation, benefits and employee relations.
Evaluate salaries and benefits on an annual basis and recommend changes, as needed.
Prepare and recommend annual salary and benefits budgets.
Manage all employment processes including recruitment (i.e. application, interview, reference and background checks, new hire paperwork), orientation, performance evaluation, and exit interviews.
Manage semi-annual employee performance evaluation process including training for employees and managers.
Partner with managers to review and revise all job descriptions on an annual basis.
Plan and implement periodic workplace safety training.
Plan and coordinate staff recognition, development, and enrichment activities; including staff lunches, Christmas party and farewell parties.
Evaluate, manage, and administer all employee benefit programs, including but not limited to, health, dental, life insurance, and disability insurances, Flexible Spending plan, and retirement plans, providing education and notices regarding changes, updates and statements, as well as process required healthcare mandates, such as forms 1094-C and 1095-C, and hours tracking for benefit eligibility.
Learn all payroll processes including personnel and pay changes, deductions and benefits, timesheets, PTO, overtime, fringe benefits, and W-2s, and be prepared to process payroll, as needed.
Recommend leadership training and professional development for employees. Assist supervisors and managers on topics such as performance management and how to handle employee relations matters at the department level.
Develop professionally on a continuing basis by attending conferences and reading relevant materials related to the human resource profession.
Build relationships and network with other human resource professionals at local churches.
Qualifications

Requirements:
As a religious organization, all employees must affirm and adhere to the Church’s Doctrinal Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for involvement with the ministry. This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.

Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord.
Active attendance and involvement at Northwest Bible Church.
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field; five (5) years of human resource experience.
Strong sense of proprietary confidentiality
Strong computer literacy skills and Microsoft Office skills
Skilled in project management, influencing, negotiating, leadership, vendor management and analytical skills.
Solid time management skills: ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written with employees at all levels.
