HPUMC Kids Assistant
The Kids Ministry Assistant provides overall administrative support for the ministry.
Reports To: Director of Children’s Ministry
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Campus: HPUMC
Working Hours: This is a full-time position that will work an anticipated 36 hours per week: Monday through Thursday 8:30 - 5:00 pm (including a 30-minute lunch break) and Sundays 8:30 am -12:30 pm.
During certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter. Presence on occasional Sundays is also requested to ensure that one has the firsthand understanding of the church culture.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Overall administrative support of HPUMC Kids Ministry
- Primary Liaison with Communications Dept. for HPUMC Kids
- Oversight and management of communication to families (0-5th Grade)
- Weekly Attendance tracking and reporting
- Weekly Communication for HPUMC Kids
- First Impressions for 2nd floor Welcome Center on Sunday
- Responsible for first time visitor follow up
- Assist with budget and record keeping
- Management of enrollments
- Other special projects as assigned

Education and Desired Skills:
- Previous church or ministry experience preferred
- Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Some college, college degree preferred

- G Suite (Google, Gmail, Calendar, etc…)
- Touchpoint Church Management System
Physical Demands:
