A Kids Cove Teacher will be responsible for teaching biblical truth to preschoolers in the classroom while providing a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment including consistency and intentionality for our preschoolers and their families.
Essential Duties:
Intentionally plant seeds of faith in the lives of preschoolers and children by using Biblical Truths throughout the session
Intentional to build relationships with preschoolers and children and their families
Support the leadership of First Dallas and commit to being a learner as you serve
Consistent in attendance
Read “Teaching Preschoolers First Steps Toward Faith” and “Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions” upon recruitment
Attend all Kids Cove Leadership meetings, classroom planning meetings, and training events
Communicate ministry needs of families to immediate supervisor or Minister to Preschoolers and Children
Prepare Bible teaching and activities using the given curriculum for assigned small group
Complete Needs List and submit to immediate supervisor at least 2 weeks in advance
Arrive 30 minutes prior to beginning session time
Evaluate session at end of service hour
Participate in ministry-wide activities such as Resurrection Road, Fall Festival and VBS, etc. as you are able
Perform other duties as requested by the Childcare Coordinator

Fully committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally
Fully committed to demonstrating characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity
Must be an active member of First Baptist Dallas
Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)
Should have experience in preschool and/or children’s leadership position
Must be 18 years or older
Love for and committed to teaching children
Completed Background Screening, Sexual Abuse and Neglect Training, and References
Must have a High School diploma
Physical
Requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
Standing on feet approximately 6 hours per day
Constantly lifting 1 to 10 lbs.; frequently lifting 11 to 50 lbs.
Frequent walking, 3 miles per day
Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, and grasping
