Overall Responsibilities:

Provide the overall ministry and staff leadership for the North Dallas Campus for Birth - 5th Grade

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Children's Ministry Staff - Preschool Coordinator (PT or FT), resource staff/volunteer team, childcare staff
  • Lead Children's Ministry team in developing recruitment strategies, plans and weekly staffing
  • Lead Children's Ministry team in ministering and encouraging volunteer leaders on a personal level
  • Lead in planning and implementing leadership training events and planning meetings, encouragement events and leadership parties
  • Oversee communication with all leaders
  • Oversee the volunteer/leader assimilation process - includes placement, orientation, training and mentoring process of new leaders; prospective team member follow up
  • Administration of budgets for all North Dallas Children's accounts
  • Oversee weekend programming for Birth - 5th Grade
  • Direct staff and volunteer/leader teams to identify and guide children and parents toward their next step in their faith walk (to include baptisms for children, teens and adults)
  • Lead Children's Ministry special events, including: Parent Dedication, Trunk or Treat, KidQuest, Summer Camps, Young Christians Class, etc.
  • Oversee Children's mid-week services/programming
  1. Room prep
  2. Work with LPKids Central Team to develop and contextualize Mid-week curriculum for Forney campus
  3. Recruitment, staffing & training of volunteers/leaders
  • Parent Outreach and Support
  1. Coordinate and lead parent meetings for Camps, Mission Trips, Parent Dedications, Young Christians Class, etc.

Experience Required:

  • Children's Ministry Leadership Experience
  • Teaching experience or early childhood background
